Medihoney™ Barrier Cream contains medical grade antibacterial honey
Medihoney™ Antibacterial Honey is a standardised antibacterial honey, predominantly Leptospermum sp. (including Manuka)
Helps maintain the skin's barrier properties, skin moisture and pH
Acts as a protective interface between the skin and dressings
 
When to use:
- Use under incontinence pads to protect at-risk skin
- Helps protect skin from damage caused by friction (chafing)
- To help prevent damage caused to the skin by frequent washing
 
For Wound Management:
Around wound edges to prevent irritation and help provide a better healing environment
To help prevent maceration of wounds (over-sogginess of a wound)
To help prevent excoriation wounds (wounds caused by abrasion)

Directions for Use: 
Apply to clean, dry skin three times a day or as required. Reapply after bathing or at each dressing change. Suitable for use on children.

The osmotic action produces an outflow of body fluid which assists the removal of wound bacteria, endotoxins, debris and slough, providing a cleaner wound, rapidly removing malodour and helping to reduce the inflammatory response, oedema and exudate levels. Granulation and epithelialisation are enhanced through provision of the optimal healing environment
